When I say easy, I cannot stress how easy this recipe is.
This is one of those recipes you can whip up when unexpected guests arrive.
I must admit, when I did home economics at school, scones where my worst. They would always turn out like small biscuits, hard as stones. The teacher always had this look of disapproval on her face. The one where the brow lifts…. yip, you got it!
1kg self-raising flour
Preheat your oven at 200°C.
Lightly grease a baking tray.
Mix all ingredients into soft dough. If the dough is still too sticky, add a little more self-raising flour. Roll out scone size balls. Makes 12 (this depends on you, large or small scones).
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove and leave to cool.
Now here’s the best part. I don’t sell myself short when it comes to cream, chocolate and anything that makes you go yeah! Please be generous with the cream…..
They are really light and delish.
